    Window Replacement

We successfully replaced five old windows in Toronto with new black ones. The challenge was in the window frames. They were old and the material of the house itself underneath them was worn out. But we were able to install new triple-glazed windows, strengthening and fixing the window opening.

    Door Replacement

Due to the soil movement, many houses go down into the ground a bit every year. Although it may not be seen from the outside, their structure changes as they sink deeper. That’s why the doors can’t close anymore. Luckily, the HTR team performed a seamless door replacement, so now they operate smoothly.

    Window Replacement Or Repair

Dealing with cold and drafty windows is probably the last thing you want to deal with when you get home from work. Old windows have the tendency to leak air through them, and over time, this will result in increased energy bills due to the furnace having to work more often to keep the house warm in winter. The same goes for the summer months when the air conditioner has to be constantly working because warm air will be seeping through the windows. Everything breaks down over time, and windows are no different. Getting Concord window and door installation can sometimes result in a pricey home renovation, but it’s one that can be seen as an investment.

Sometimes windows can be repaired, but that all depends on the severity of wear and tear that they’ve been subject to. Many times, you’ll have to install a new one. Some people try this as a DIY project, but there are many factors to keep in mind when getting new windows put into your home. If you’ve never had the chance to do it before, you can easily miss a step and make a mistake. Windows aren’t cheap, and you don’t want to be tinkering around with such an expensive item when you aren’t familiar with the process.

Windows Increase The Resale Value Of Your Home

Getting new windows installed in your home will make your home look more aesthetically pleasing on both the interior and exterior of the home. If your previous windows were always fogged and iced up, you won’t have to deal with that anymore.

    • Energy Efficiency: New energy-efficient windows will keep all of the elements outside. This means that cold air won’t be seeping through the seals on your windows any longer, and that also means that your energy bills will be lower because your furnace won’t be having to work as hard.
    • Warranty: Many windows come with a lifetime warranty or something similar to that. This means that the investment will last for a very, very long time.

    • Natural light: New windows will make your home feeling brighter than it did before. Natural light has been known to boost the mood, and that’s always a good thing.

    What Windows To Get?

Going through the windows replacement process can sometimes be intimidating if you’re not at all familiar with it. Even taking the proper measurements for your windows can be confusing, and that’s why it’s suggested to consult with a professional window contractor. Fidgeting around with a tape measure on your own can get frustrating, and windows have to be measured properly in order to fit in the frames. If you’re trying to figure out how to take the measurements yourself because you’re wanting to save money, it could be a costly mistake later down the road if the measurements are wrong and the window doesn’t even fit.

A costly and timely mistake like that can be avoided if you get a window contractor to drop by, do an initial inspection, take some measurements, and then go from there. For a normal DIY person, window installation can be a long, drawn-out process that will take a lot of research and effort to get done properly. A window contractor can have windows replaced in your home in less than a day. Everyone wants to save money, but it comes to such an important part of the home, windows need to be installed right, or else they won’t serve their purpose in the best way that they can.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Before deciding to get a windows replacement, there might be some things you’re unsure about. Our specialists answered some of the most frequent questions they get before starting windows and doors replacement and installation projects.

Common signs include increased energy bills, difficulty opening or closing windows, drafts around the window frames, condensation between panes, and noticeable damage to the frame or glass.
Yes, it is a normal situation. Especially in old windows that are constantly used, air and water leaks occur over time. But even expensive and high-quality windows let some water through. This is due to the construction of the windows – they are equipped with drainage holes, through which the water inside can drain away. Regardless of how well the windows are constructed, a functional window will inevitably retain some water after a heavy rain or as a result of heavy condensation. The difference between bad and good windows is that the bad windows let the water inside the house, while well-designed windows direct the water away from the wall.
Condensation usually occurs when warm air inside the house meets the colder surface of the window. It occurs more commonly in poorly ventilated areas with high humidity. Also, damaged seals on double-pane windows can cause condensation between the panes.
Mold, poor air quality, damaged window panes and poor insulation are only a few reasons why condensation on windows should be addressed properly.
Most windows can experience condensation under certain conditions, especially in areas with high humidity or significant temperature differences. However, well-insulated and properly installed windows should minimize condensation issues.
Make sure your windows are well-sealed and insulated. If condensation persists, contact us to upgrade to better-insulated windows.
