Hopper Windows

The Hopper Window resembles Casement Windows and Awning Windows but opens inwards from the top and has a hinge at the bottom. It is perfect for limited spaces, like basements, bathrooms and laundry rooms, since it only takes up a little space while providing necessary ventilation and meets Canadian Egress standards.

Thanks, HTR, for the incredible window replacement. We opted for complete window replacement (17 different windows) and did not regret it. They were on time, and the service was top-quality. From the sales consultation up to technical moments and installation, we got all the info we needed to be on the same page. All these for a fair price! I can’t thank them enough, but I definitely will recommend them to all my neighbours.

Frequently Asked Questions

Before deciding to get a windows replacement, there might be some things you’re unsure about. Our specialists answered some of the most frequent questions they get before starting windows and doors replacement and installation projects.

Common signs include increased energy bills, difficulty opening or closing windows, drafts around the window frames, condensation between panes, and noticeable damage to the frame or glass.
Yes, it is a normal situation. Especially in old windows that are constantly used, air and water leaks occur over time. But even expensive and high-quality windows let some water through. This is due to the construction of the windows – they are equipped with drainage holes, through which the water inside can drain away. Regardless of how well the windows are constructed, a functional window will inevitably retain some water after a heavy rain or as a result of heavy condensation. The difference between bad and good windows is that the bad windows let the water inside the house, while well-designed windows direct the water away from the wall.
Condensation usually occurs when warm air inside the house meets the colder surface of the window. It occurs more commonly in poorly ventilated areas with high humidity. Also, damaged seals on double-pane windows can cause condensation between the panes.
Mold, poor air quality, damaged window panes and poor insulation are only a few reasons why condensation on windows should be addressed properly.
Most windows can experience condensation under certain conditions, especially in areas with high humidity or significant temperature differences. However, well-insulated and properly installed windows should minimize condensation issues.
Make sure your windows are well-sealed and insulated. If condensation persists, contact us to upgrade to better-insulated windows.
